Idiots redux
Mar. 9th, 2004 11:04 amSo, I'm flipping through various blogs that I just know are going to piss me off -- mainly due to a serious lack of exercise, must get my cardio work in somehow -- when I run across this little gem:

About 1/4 of the way down the page, this little tidbit leapt off the page, grabbed my throat and demanded attention. "It is the key question, because WMDs were never the primary reason for the invasion"
WTF?!?
Excuse me, fucktard, but when the President of the United States of America devotes a goodly bit of the State of the Union Address to the WMDs in Iraq, it tends to leave the impression that YES, these are the major reason we are proposing an invasion of a sovreign foreign power. When this is conjoined with the Secretary of State using manufactured evidence of said WMDs while appearing before the UN to build a coalition for said invasion, then YES, these are the major reason we are proposing an invasion of a sovreign foreign power.
This bullshit revisionist history has got to be stopped. I don't give a good goddamn whether or not you voted for Bush. I don't care if Kerry molested your dog/sister/brother/mother/badger or whatever. The fact is that the titular leader of the USA LIED to the people of this country regarding the WMDs. He pushed us into a war of invasion and conquest for his own purposes. The statements made by Bush are public record. GO READ THEM.
